My Bernina-Mastery FilesWe now have the My Bernina-Mastery files on line for your convenience. To access the My Bernina files (in PDF), click here Mastering the Series 8Mastering Your Series 8 classes are specific for Bernina 820 & 830 machines & should be the first classes taken by a new owner. They are a combination of lecture, demo & Power Point demonstrations. You are welcome to bring your machine or laptop computer with the Bernina Series 8 Emulator loaded on it. You are also welcome to just follow along with the instructor's power point. The Machine Mastery & Machine Embroidery Series are highly recommended for those new to sewing, embroidery of Bernina sewing machines and should be taken after taking these Series 8 Classes 1 and 2. Class #1 Sewing: Threading, screen anatomy & navigation, stitches & Bernina Dual Feed. Class #2 Embroidery: threading for embroidery, embroidery screen navigation, design selection & editing.
Machine MasteryClass #1: BASIC OPERATION: Designed for all BERNINA sewing machines including Bernette models, this class is a must for new owners. Learn what you need to know about the basic operation of your machine. Things to Bring: Please bring the following to each mastery class: Sewing machine and accessories box, Owner's Guide, Mastery Workbook printed out, one new spool of all-purpose thread and a Basic Sewing Kit.
Embroidery MasterySerger MasteryClass #1:Basic Serger Use: Designed to make you comfortable with your new serger. This class covers threading, tension settings and basic serger applications. Class #2: BASIC SERGER USE continued... this class continues with threading and goes into different threading for special stitching. Class #3: SERGING AHEAD: Learn to use your serger for more than seaming and finishing edges. This class explores the use of serger accessory presser feet and attachments for both embellishment and practical uses. Discover how to incorporate chain and cover stitch into your projects. Embroidery Software MasteryClass #1: Start with the basics of the V6 Bernina Embroidery Software. Learn to calibrate your screen. Discover the magic of the icons on the tool bars, how to resize, rotate & mirror designs, utilize thread matching, fabric settings, basic lettering functions, print designs & send designs to your machine. This class applies to both Editor Plus & Designer Plus levels of the Bernina Embroidery Software V6. This class is a prerequisite to Software #2. Class #2 Version 6: Learn how to utilize Portfolio, edit a design & auto digitize. In this class you will learn about removing overlaps, how to use the magic wand & touch on the Art Canvas portion of the software. This class applies to both Editor Plus & Designer Plus levels of the Bernina Embroidery Software V6.
